In the previous edition of the Copernicus Masters 2020 on the final, a Bulgarian team won the “Environment and Health Challenge” of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) with idea for web-based geographic information and notification system for water reservoir management. RST-TTO as a Copernicus Prize Partner 2021, with the support of the Ministry of economy of Republic of Bulgaria are proud to support the awarding of innovative solutions, development and ideas that use EO data to tackle challenges faced by business and society.

From 19 April to 19 July, participants in the Copernicus Masters 2021 can submit their innovative EO application or service to 10 Challenges offered by the following world-class partners: European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission (COM), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Planet, BayWa, UP42 with Airbus, the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and Portugal Space (Portuguese Space Agency). Through these Challenges the participating teams can reap valuable rewards ranging from cash or direct access to commercial EO data to expert support and incubation of their business. At the same time, they have the possibility of entering a variety of prizes co-funded by the European Commission up to EUR 10,000 each.

To participate in the competition, the first step is to register in the Copernicus Masters website, second step is to choose one of the 10 partner challenges and the final step is to select a Copernicus Bulgaria Prize - RST-TTO provides attractive awards, for the participants, which selected the Bulgarian prize!

Together with cash prizes, challenge and prize, winners will receive access to an international ecosystem of leading Earth observation organisations, substantial satellite data quotas, and individual business development support worth more than EUR 835,000. The Overall Winner will receive an additional cash prize of EUR 10,000. Register here !

RST-TTO as a Copernicus Masters Regional Associate 2020 is proud to support the awarding of innovative solutions, developments and ideas that use EO data to tackle challenges faced by business and society. As a regional associate we are part of the constantly growing EO community as well as the EO business ecosystem.
In 2020, the Copernicus Masters offers participants a diverse range of topic-specific challenges to tackle global challenges with their competition entries. The 7 competition partners - the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission (EC), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Planet, BayWa, Airbus sobloo and the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) - have each established a unique challenge for the participants, with individual prize pools designed to support the winner to further develop its solution.
This year’s edition also incorporates the brand-new Copernicus Prizes powered by EC. Besides the topic-specific challenges, participants also have the opportunity to also choose a regional or country-related Copernicus Prize Partner who can best support their innovations.
